GREAT NEWS!!!
Just recently, the Howell Area Historical Society has come in to possession of a rare 1888 wooden caboose through a very generous donation. It will be a bit of a "fixer upper" but will be a great addition to our displays. We will also be hoping to get volunteers to help renovate and with our many other projects and events. We will keep you all posted!!!

NEEDING VOLUNTEERS FOR EVENTS COMMITTEE:
The newly established events committee will work strictly on fundraising strategies to create awareness through marketing and event campaigns along with communicating the Historical Societies Mission Statement and work closely with schools and to educate and embrass children's interest and their participation in fundraising. If you are interested, please call the depot museum!!!
ATTENTION:
Etch your name into Howell History! The Howell Area Historical Society has kicked off its “This Place Matters, Buy a Brick” fundraiser. Proceeds from the engraved brick sales will finance the replacement of the cement surrounding the Depot Museum.
The Society is selling bricks in two sizes: 4” x 8” for $100 and 12” x 12” for $450. Company logos may be placed on the larger size. Inserted in groups into the new cement surrounding the Depot, these engraved bricks will create a lasting tribute to be enjoyed for years to come.
An order form will be available to download soon. If you would like immediate information call the Society @ 517-548-6876 or email cruss@att.net.
